Standing desks may not be "healthy" but they are "productive"

I know that the faster I get the work done, the faster I can take a break, so I try to stay productive without distractions. The feeling of relaxation after a meal is pleasant, but if you indulge too much, you will lose productivity for the rest of the day. It is not uncommon for the post-lunch sleepiness that comes from overeating and carbohydrate intake to ruin the entire afternoon. For me, the standing desk with drawers is a strong ally that chases away the after-lunch sleepiness and puts me on the work wave.

Every day I get as much work done as possible in the morning and eat a late breakfast and an early lunch. In the past, I would eat at my desk and then take a break to watch Netflix, but after eating I would get sleepy and have a hard time getting back into the swing of things. Since switching to a standing gaming desk, I no longer eat lunch at my desk, but instead take a proper lunch break at the dining room table. After my break, the upright posture immediately puts me back into work mode. I don't get sleepy, and I can honestly feel the food I eat turn into energy for work instead of sleepiness.

The ergonomic office chair is easy to use as a desk chair because there is no need to lean forward, and the 360-degree swivel caster wheels make it easy to move around. Of course, the saddle is height-adjustable, and the width and firm cushioning make it perfect for rowing while sitting.
